Walk to Work Vessel

Damen believes the W2W is unique in returning to the basic principles of designing a purpose-built vessel that addresses the deployment and retention of offshore support and maintenance engineers. The W2W vessel has on-site work and storage facilities plus accommodation for up to 40 maintenance personnel in single cabins, optional up to 72 in double cabins. It is able to stay out at sea for up to one month and features dynamic positioning (DP2). It is also equipped with a motion-compensated transfer gangway to allow each maintenance team to walk safely between the vessel and offshore structures. In addition a motion compensated crane is an option for the safe transfer of parts and components between the W2W and static structures.
