Safety Standby Vessel

The Damen Safety Standby Vessels are built to undertake emergency response and rescue duties near offshore platforms. The optimised hull design guarantees comfortable seakeeping behaviour for long periods at sea. The vessels are fitted with a highly effective and economical propulsion system and have dedicated safety standby equipment. The propulsion system uses a single screw, diesel-direct power plant with a retractable bow thruster for standby position-keeping or for use as an emergency ‘take-me-home’ propulsion alternative.
